On October 28-29, 2006 the Dallas Comic Con returned to the Plano Centre for its eighth outing. BIGFANBOY.com has maintained a close relationship with the convention, providing promotional items for all the fans, and helping to spread the word about popular event. At this October 2006 show BIGFANBOY.com hosted the first annual BIGFANBOY AWARDS presentation. The awards recognized outstanding comic book achievements and fanboy-related media. There were also a few Dallas Comic Con specific awards handed out, including "favorite comic book guest" and "favorite media guest". Fans voted online for their favorites in each category, and got to see the results live at the show on Saturday, October 28th. The award presentation was sponsored by Bern Inc., a family owned business that brings casino style free games to your local restaurant or bar. We also received support from spot4media, a company that handles everything from training videos to elegant weddings and more.
