WHO WE ARE

Mark Walters - site creator and Editor in Chief

Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising artist.  Clients have included the Dallas Mavericks and Stars.  He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Con and Sci-Fi Expo conventions.  An avid moviegoer and cinema buff, Mark has been a film critic since 1994.

Gary Dean Murray - staff writer

The great Gary Murray was born in St. Louis but got to Texas as quickly as possible... as an infant it turns out.  He's written film reviews for a variety of publications and websites, including City Web.  Gary currently serves on the staff of the North Texas Film Critics Association, and has been known to do a bit of standup on the road.

Josh Stratton - contributing writer

Josh Stratton has come a long way from his hometown of Minden, Louisiana.  A graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas, his love of movies and pop culture is only surpassed by his extensive knowledge of both film and TV.  He isn't afraid of an occasional chick flick either.  Look for an occasional movie review from Josh when time permits.

Dana Place - film and DVD reviewer

Another Dallas boy who has been a good friend to the site.  Dana turns in some great reviews every now and then, and has been instrumental in helping out at the Dallas Comic Con events.  He is currently developing projects with Stumblebum Studios, and has appeared as a guest at several local conventions.

Ken Artz - staff photographer

Ken has been doing professional photography since the days of the Dallas Fantasy Fair, which ended in 1996.  He has documented all of the Dallas Comic & Toy Fest shows and just about all of the Dallas Comic Con and Sci-Fi Expo events as well.
